no its been working for the last three weeks fine even better than fine ...all of a sudden it has stopped cold air from the right side....

Hey Cuciinadio, maybe feel for cold air coming out behind the dash. The duct from the unit may have come off.

Newbie here, but maybe now i can add some value !

if you had your air cond fixed, probably means you had it regased, or parts replaced under bonnet right?

If it is now working on one side of the cabin, but not the other, then it shows the air con is still working properly (Under bonnet bits), so it should not be the Recent repair that is the problem.

The disco has split air con that can put different temp air to each side of the car, and hence it sounds like either a ducting has come off one side (as mentioned by Ricey) or the controls for the ducting have come of from the control mechanism attached to the climate control. When this happens they will fall back to a default position (as they are normally spring loaded in one direction). When tihs happens you may find that the air is actually flowing, but it is actually coming out at the feet or windscreen outlets.

Should be a simple fix.

ALTERNATIVELY - if the repair work you had done for the air con was behind the dash (eg replacing the air con heat exchanger behind the dash) then yes, this should be a warranty job from your mechanic....
