this is my old D1. It had 2 inch raised EFS coils and 27.5 inch procomps on the rear. as you can see from the pic, the extra length shocks made the coils dislocate a few inches which was fixed with some dislocation cones or maybe they should be called relocation cones ;)
pretty much the same as Knotty's truck. they allow heaps of rear articulation but the front was still way too hard as you can see in the pics. I sold the truck before getting the front sorted :(

ps. yes, its has a 2 inch body lift as well and running 245/75/16 Cooper STT's :D
just for the rear shocks they were $270 delivered to me in Hobart. I left the EFS ones on the front and I think they were the limiting factor.
here is a link to the shocks and I got them from Shane at Suspension Stuff in sunny Qld. He was very helpful and they arrived a few days later in an express satchel, great service seeing as I didnt pay for the delivery.

thanks for the compliment, I was very happy with the travel and I will be doing something similar to my new 2 door when I pick it up next week. You cant beat great articulation.
good luck mate
Thanks again:thumbsup:
That aint a bad price:cool:
I've gone through Shane before and was very happy with him:)
It'll be good to see some flex like that coming out of your 2door.
CHEERS TIM.
Very flexible ....
I see that you made an extension bracket for the rear brake "joining block" ... But the hose still has that 90 degree kink in it :(
Bend the top of the bracket further to get the hose to bend at 45 degrees and take the stress off the flexi hose .... or buy a longer hose
Well Done tho :)
I did the same thing with my brake line bracket, and it was alsmost as tight as that when at full flex, but i just noticed today that a stick has snaged the lines at some stage and almost kinked the steel lines:eek:
Wouldn't have happened if it wasn't sitting off the diff:(
TIM.
yeah, thanks guys.
If I can get that flex out of the rangie, I will be happy.
I cant see why I shouldnt, the chassis/axle configuration is pretty much identical.
The spring rates might have to be different as the body/loading is a bit different to the disco body.
:D
