noisy brakes
hi i was after some info regarding noisy or chattering front brakes i have replaced anti rattle springs and brake pads refitted with some brake goo after a while the noise comes back on inspection the outside pad moves in the calliper also the backing paper on the pad gets cut away leaving metal to pistons is there any way of rectifying this problem or is it just one of those things we have to live with .i have a disco 98 tdi auto any help would be appreciated

european pads help.
aussie pads are hopeless in my experience/
i still get bad brake squeal, and stock several sets so that when they get bad, i put another set in which stops the noise for a while.
although i have now basically given in and let it squeal.

Are the pads wearing evenly? Can you move any of the other pads?
Maybe one of the pistons in the caliper needs some work.
