    Petrol to Diesel?

    I have a '95 Land Rover Discovery V8i and I was wondering how much it would cost to change it over to Diesel. I know that this will require a engine replacement. I was wondering what else it would require & Cost?

    I would think much cheaper and easier to buy another disco diesel and sell your petrol one. Not the answer you were after I guess.

    Im unsure what else is involved with getting rid of the V8

    When my old engine went bung in my Defender and I went for an engine swap

    Price of 300 Tdi: $4000 (that was cheap)
    Labour: $1000 (that was for other things as well)

    On top of that I can imagine you would need new mounts and several other little things

    I am just getting frustrated with petrol, I have only had it a month and this is the second time I have had to let the spark plugs dry out...

    wouldn't it be easier to fix the problem than change engines, then put it on LPG for cheaper motoring
