    Sliders/Side Steps

Hey guys my next mod in mind for Grover are some sliders with a step to aid getting in and out and to also add a little more protection when sliding sideways into ruts etc.

I have been looking around but i have decided it would be cheaper to DIY. I was just wondering if some of you guys who have done your own designs would be able to send me some pictures and plans.

I had a search in the Projects section but couldnt see any for D1's there were some nice ones on a deffer but they don't have any plans for them and i wouldn't be sure how to change the mounting points over to make it suit.

Hope to hear from some of you folk with some sweet home sliders/steps

    Cheers James!

D1, D2 and RRC are pretty similar in design, so maybe another search is in order

Too heavy, too close to the bottom of the doors, good design though.

That is a solid slider which looks like it would do the trick. But i would change the mounting method. As welding it to the chassie is a defect?

Gday That kid , those sliders are very nice and clean looking. How about a full run down on the bits and peaces and measurements as well as photos showing the mounting and how much they have set you back so far? If you dont mind that is. cheers jay

    Hi Grover,
Keep us all up-to-date with your progress. I have this week embarked on the same thought. Take a look at the links here and it would be good to compare notes but I know I can't do any worse than the factory plastic stuff.
