    Unhappy D1 stuck CDL

Hi guys just went for a quick fish before the cyclone up here.
I tried to put my disco into low range with CDL on to go across some soft sand.
I put my auto into netrual and was stoped when i tried to change it.
It felt a little stiff to pull it across to the lock side but was fine to put into low range.
It all went in ok and i travled down to do some fishing.
Going home again after not catching a thing Istoped at the edge of the track to put my disco back into high range unlock.
I again put the car into netrual and was stoped ad i tried to put it back in. It came out of low range fine but when i tried to push it across to unlock it would not go tried roling in netrual slowley but still no luck So i drived home with the center diff locked, On the tarmack
I know its not great for the driveline but had no choice.
Im back at home now and had a quick look underneath to see what was goin on. could not see any broken linkeges or arms but i still cant get it out of lock.
    anyone got any ideas

    cheers steve

the position of the range selector means very little it'll be the linkage on the top of the box thats sticking plenty of lube and patients while wiggling the selectors the key.

    Thanks forr your help guys
I ended up pulling center dash out and removing top of leaver ass.
I then sprayed about a can of WD 40 on it and rocked it back and forth until it was free.
dont know why land rover dident make a boot that coverd this as it seems to do it a bit.
I guess its juast another quality built landrover part .

    Cheers
