    Steering wheel cover for D1

Does anyone know where I can get one?

my steering wheel is really starting to degrade on the top and when ever I drive now I get little black bits of foam all on my hands especially when they get clammy when off road

So anyone had one fitted? and know where to get it done?

Would be even better if i had a choice of colour

    Lou

    G'day Lou

Got these links from somewhere here , although haven't tried either.

I was thinking about them for olute - not sure if they'd suit a Disco

    Pangolin Leather Steering Wheel Covers

also emailed this mob and they have them too

failing that you could make your own:

I had a Nissan steering wheel leather bound by:

    ATUC Pty Ltd
    08 8243 1383

They apparently do the sports steering wheels for Ford & Misubishi, at the time it cost me $171.00 & I got it back virtually by return post & it just looked like a brand new leather bound steering wheel, as they also repaired the sun damaged top before they covered it.

Do an Ebay search for a company called Wheelskins

They sell a tight leather cover for all cars (they have a chart with model/make and size) also the range of colours is huge. It takes a while to thread it on the wheel (thread and needle comes as part of the kit) but once finished looks as close to a real leather steering wheel as I have come.

I bought two thinking the lighter colour may look good but it didin't so I went back to the black. They were cost effective too (don't quote me but around $40 includeing postage from the US)

    See how you go

    Cheers

Thanks Jason, I think I'll be getting one of these for the Tdi. Will be cheaper than the new wheel option

Gee You were lucky I tied the Cheap ones and couldn't get it on as my Disco Wheel was too thick and wide... They only seem to make them fords and Holdens in Kmart/BigW
