    fuel gauge faulty

Fuel gauge is reading incorrect again. It sorted itself out recently and started to give wrong info today.
    Anyone got any ideas ?

Have you tried another separate earth from the engine to the battery?

Might be worth a try. From memory the 'real' earth is Pass. side, rear of block to firewall.

I'm not specifically familiar with the Discovery, but in general terms this sort of problem is usually an earth problem - sender to chassis, engine to chassis, body to chassis, instrument cluster to body, fuel gauge to instrument cluster earth. These can all be checked by use of three metres of wire with a small clip on each end, although this may not work in the unlikely event that two links are broken.
