the best thing would be to go and buy some leather badminton handle strap..(the self adhesive type) and wrap it in that will work a treat

If it really bothers you, couldn't you just wrap a little bit of something over the wheel before refitting it, the slightly extra diameter might take up some of the slack?

its a good idea but I'm pretty sure its because I have a tad to much in the circumfrence.

as I had to pull the joining bits together by pulling the thread tight....

its actually where I have pulled it tight is where I have the bagging....its not bagging as such but gathering which leads me to believe it really needs to be 15" in length not 15" 3/8 as its extremely soft elastic leather easy to stretch I think so should probably be a tad short rather than a tad long.

I mentioned this before, I had a Nissan steering wheel leather bound by:

    ATUC Pty Ltd
    08 8243 1383

They apparently do the new sports steering wheels for Ford & Misubishi, at the time it cost me $171.00 & I got it back virtually by return post & it just looked like a brand new leather bound steering wheel, as they also repaired the sun damaged top before they covered it.

I was going to get a second hand wheel also, but realised it would almost as bad as the one that it would be replacing, also wreckers wanted $250.00.

Sounds like that could apply to 50% of forum members & the other 50% are bald.

    I'd say there's about a 100% chance that I fall into each 50%

    Hey Dullbird

I was one of the recommenders of the Wheelskins covers. Heres how mine came out:

Not sure if the difference between the non SRS and the SRS steering wheel is causing the wrinkles but mine went on smooth (after a LOT of sewing and pulling the thread tight)
