    D1 Suspension Upgrade?

I have a 1997 D1 V8 and am preparing the vehicle for a mid year trip to the Simpson. The vehicle currently has standard suspension. On recent trip to desert area rear suspension bottomed out on occasions. I am considering new rear shockers and possibly new rear springs. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you can afford it i would do a complete suspension change, shocks and springs.
Some king springs, or similar will set you back around $320-$350 a set for 50mm lift, and the shocks probably a little more around $500-$600.
Or you could buy a whole kit which is around $700-800, Shane from suspension stuff is really good!!

Yeah thats true we have run a few sets of kings but the last ones that are in the county seemed to have sagged
I always thought they were really good but having second thoughts now

    Hi Unit 1,
Like many others on here I had a talk to Shane at Suspension stuff and I did look at a lot of others and have had a number of different brands over the Years. Have just installed in Mine a high lift 2" Dobinson and Lovell schocks as I wonted a softer ride suspension then the 2" Kings I had On.
Very happy so far with ride and handling.
    Rules:- here are some Picks.
    Front springs New and Old.

    Rear spring New and Old.

I have to agree. Shane at Suspension Stuff has a great reputation and will only recomend a brand if it will suit your application, so you can be sure he will only give you what you need. always ready to have a chat and work out what you need for your situation.

    cheers

My springs are slightly different to 4 door due to weight difference between two door and four door and shane assisted in the correct springs for this configuration. shane swapped one set to get right balance front rear.
