MAF Voltage setting D1 V8
G'day.
What voltage are people setting their MAF to on D1 V8's?
I realise that an exhaust gas analyser is the go to do it properly but I don't have one so I thought I'd see if there is a consensus. I have mine set to 1.0V and the only mod is a straight through exhaust. Is this too lean?
Do V8 spark plugs come out any colour other than black?
I have finally got the rest of the setup all working. I bought a new vacuum advance only to work out it was faulty out of the box. With that sorted it now pulls up hills in third with a light throttle that I was changing back to second previously to get up.
I have got some recon 4 hole Bosch injectors that I'll be installing this weekend.
Damian.

About 1volt is fine .
If it is too lean it will not idle well and stall on hot startup. Usually the problem is too rich not too lean.
With my O2 sensors and Unichip my plugs are pure white with a tiny bit of grey at the electrode.
I would be surprised if you have black plugs after a long run. This implies quite rich.
