Looking at getting a discovery. By pure luck, I was at a nursery buying mulch for our garden and noticed a Disco parked there. It was owned by the nursery owner so I asked him what they were like. During the conversation he mentioned he was gonna sell it in September, when I asked him the price he said probably around $5000.

About the only flaw I could see with it ( it's a 98 model, V8i auto ) was a little bit of rust starting around the top back window, nothing big and easily fixed.

He has done towing with it, a boat, says he gets 450-500km out of a tank ( seems to be the norm from what i've read on here so far ), it's got new rubber, new gearbox, very tidy interior, paint with barely a mark on it ( apart from the couple of tiny rust spots around the top back window ), only 2 owners, complete log books, full service history, started first time, ran well ect.

Does this sound to good to be true? By the time I left he said definately $5000, we swapped phone numbers ect.

Of course I'll get it checked over before I buy it, but it's looking pretty good.

Of course then I'll have to get a few things fitted like gas, a 2" lift, bullbar, dual battery system ect
