    Sway Bar

My sway bar has been mucking up since the lift i have had to Bolts remove themselves even after being tightened as much as possible (with an extension bar for extra torque!) Yet they still come off in the scrub. Has anyone else had this drama?

But now that it is done my rear bar has been bent after the last time it came off and was caught in the spring and will not go back in as it is all the way foward rubbing on the axle. So i tried a variety of methods to jack the car up to see what i could get and nothing not even cloes.

So this bring me to my questions:

1, How much should i pay for a sway bar as i know a lot of you guys take them off so maybe someone has one they need gone?

2, I i just give up on the sway bar has anyone crashed their landy with one removed and had any defect issues claiming insurance? Now i don't plan on crashing but they call them accidents for a reason and my old man is paying insurance so fair enough he wants me to keep it legal till i am paying it.

Any help on either method would be greatly appriciated

    James.

I disconnected mine on my D2, didn't seem to notice much difference at all apart extra downward travel from the front end when flexing, a good 2" of extra travel.

I think that early D1s didn't have them at all from the factory.

Oright well i will take mine off for now and then if a free offer comes up i will take it.

Just as long as the insurance company doesn't nab me if i have an accident.

Don't take them off, just disconnect them and try it, if you don't like it re-connect them and sort some replacements out.

On my D1 I removed the rear one, and disconnected the front for offroading. Still handles sweet on the road.
