    SUCCESS!

All fixed and back up running now.

Big thanks to Rick, and everyone who replied.

Culprit was the connector on the back of the injector pump. Was luckily the first thing we checked! I pulled the plug off and the wire literally fell out the back of it. i just thought "oh no way, it can't be this easy. Cars are never this easy!"

Looks like the wire was pretty crusty, and has just been slowly breaking over time.

Stripped the wire back a bit and wrapped it through male spade terminal, tried to start it but...dead battery. we killed it with the attempts to start last night.
But a quick jump start from the Pulsar and the Disco burbled back to life

Put a new female connector on after the short drive home and also put in a bit of extra length in the wire, to give it a little bit of extra slack.

    Good on ya', mate!
    Johannes

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
