Hi Lou, It's all been said i suppose but one thing I can say is don't high pressure wash the radiator. It will completely knacker it.

    Cheers

I always clean the engine bay while i'm doing the rest of the car at the local diy carwash, but i never use the high pressure wash only the low pressure option.

Just one thing I didn't raise before. I have been warned against using degreasers to wash the engine directly as it can eat into the oil seals and make them perish (same on diffs around the seals). How true this is I don't know but I haven't been willing to give it a shot and test the theory.

I'd love to give it a shot because theres some real gunked up oily/greasy bits on my engine but I just wipe them with a rag as best I can.

i high pressure wash mine all the time and its fine, never done any harm, water on electrics hardly does anything, the only problem is it took a connector off once but it was fine.
