Very faint ticking when letting out clutch..

Yesterday, reversing out of my driveway, I heard a very faint ticking noise as I was putting the clutch out. I can hear it in forward gears too
My old Commodore did this too, and it was the thrust bearing, and it lead to many months of clutches in and out, as the mech's kept stuffing it up.

Is this a sign of a thrust bearing in my clutch? Or something else?

Keep in mind, a few weeks ago, I lost my Hyd clutch down the coast as I blew a slave cylinder seal..

When I reverse up a hill riding the clutch my D1 sounds like a bucket of bolts. As I engage the clutch more it goes away. I wonder if it's a common problem? Can anyone shed some light?
