    DIY Steering Guard ideas

Im thinking of fabricating my own steering guard as my stock LR item is bashed!

So, anyone already done this? Looking for some ideas, although I think I will make it similar in design except using heavier duty with a plate up front.

    Ideas?

I like DW's idea on the ute, cut your damaged one up and make it a custom one. Or if yours is still straight sleeve it with a length of tube and then add the vertical braces and alloy sheet/checkerplate.

Thanks for the suggestions and links. I think I have a design, not too desimilar to the stock one.

As for my stock one, the tube is bent really badly (hit a rock) and also distorted the legs, so basically the whole thing is stuffed.
