    D2 rear seat into a D1?

Does anyone know if the disco2 rear seat fits into the D1?
I want the center 3 point seat belt for the kids. I don't like the idea of just the center lap belt! Also the center seat doesn't have a head rest to minimise wip lash.

Nice question, interested to know as well as I have three tin lids and the lack of a centre rear lap sash has always been a concern (centre kid is still in a baby seat, so up till now hasn't been an issue, but time is coming).

    Awaiting any learned responses........

I'm looking at this too. From what I can see, the seat anchors down to the floor as well as to the side, obviously because it now has to restrain a passenger with the centre lap/sash. It would be good if the mod could be engineer certified. I looked at competition harnesses but nobody seemed interested in approving it.

From memory the rear seat on the D2 is taller, but the same size base as the D1. The D2a rear seat's middle inertia reel sits about 1/2" back further than the D2. I know this as my 03MY D2a was the first to have a Milford barrier fitted and it didn't fit properly (without new brackets) due to this fact.

If it does fit it would be a good mod as it gets rid of the seat belt buckles on the floor. The locking points are recessed in to the floor so this would require a bit of work. I also assume they would be bolted to the chassis or something more solid than the floor pan.
