Black Betty is yours a 3.9 or a 4.0? When I had my '96 3.9 D1 converted last year (in Brisbane) I was told that the 3.9 was not suitable for sequential injection and so mine has the venturi feed into the airflow.
But anyway, I am happy with the conversion. Means I can afford to drive it now. Had a twin tank assembly installed on the floor of the cargo area and after a platform is put on top of the tanks, there is still a good amount of cargo space. takes up about the same as a set of drawers. Paid around$3700 and got the $2000 rebate. With the present price of fuel, has half paid for itself already. Consumption went from approx 18l/100km on petrol to 20 to 21l/100km on gas. Performance difference is negligable but atm I think mine is a bit down on power on both fuels. Looking into it.
Go for it.
