Rear Lights
Can nanybody enlighten me on the rear light clusters, should normal driving lights work on these?
I only seem to have the lower ones working on the bumper, all reverse, fog, and brake lights work as normal, but i dont seem to have any other lights, even tho it has a double filament globe.
I have tested power and only have enough positive feeds for the above.
Cheers Paul

The first Disco's ( 89-94 ) as you might have seen, had everything in the main rear lights. Then the MA series (model year 95 started in mid 94) introduced the lights in the bumper, and in that series the rear lights were molded without the amber bit, and they disconnected the feed for tail lights. The next year (96 - TA) they came out with the amber back in and connected, but the tail lights stayed disconnected. You've already discovered that there are 6 spaces in the connector but only 5 wires. You can splice an extra wire from the loom into that space for the tail light, and it won't cause any problems. (I'd suggest tracing the construction of the cluster to confirm that it is indeed the tail light of the double filament globe)
