    I doubt you need the engine to be running but after the abs pump starts up you may need to re bleed as there may be air that was trapped in the abs pipage.

    So ill need to have the ignition on at least for the abs pump to start up. and then i guess just a normal bleed pretty much after that. i still have to change the pads i reckon will see how i go thanks

    The manual for the d1 say to bleed LHR then RHF then RHR the LHF
