    bad gas????

    as we all know i have the D1 1995 3.9L v8ideul feul

now she running perfect on feul and mostly on gas sept the bad back fires
but today i filled up the gas tank from bp and its not running right every now and then

when ya driving along on gas it got power then al of a sudden it like its got water or water vapers in and it cought and splatters and near on death then as quick as it came it gose with an out burst of power snapping ya back into the seat

is this just a case of bad gas with water vapor or somthing?

can these gas tanks build up water with in them?
and if so is there any way to clean it out with freash new gas??

    cheers

HAve you checked the converter for freezing? There might be a blockage in the water hoses causing the gas to freeze up and not vaporise. This could cause those symptoms. Or a bad electrical system.

Gas running issues are normally caused by electrics than gas,and yes it SEEMS to happen overnite.
Gas needs a lot better spark than petrol. As leads/sparkplugs wear it starts to run badly.
First check is at nite, get a squirty bottle adjusted to a fine mist.Have the motor running with NO light shining on it,darker the better.Watch for any arcing(blue sparks) along the leads, best not to touch. If you see arcing now, your leads need replacing. If no blue sparks are evident, give light puffs of the squirty bottle over the leads if you now see arcing yet again its the leads that are the issue(this replicates damp winter air).
In the daylight inspect your rotor inside the distributer and the sparkplugs.
If its a long time since they have been replaced bite the bullet and get new plugs/leads/rotor.Should cure the problem
BE CAREFUL NOT TO CROSSTHREAD SPARKGPLUGS WHEN RE-FITTING THEM!!!!!

Be extremely careful pulling off the rotor. You can break the tophat and that means expense. This is not uncommon I'm told.
