Well I had a look at another one tonight.
not the best idea looking at it in the dark, so we went to the servo and had a peek.
This one looked like it was in much better condition but the engine sounded kinda rattely. not that i know much about them.
the head looked clean and the fuel pipes looked almost new.
fair bit of black oil around the bottom end and around the where it joins to the tranny.
and the passenger door was sitting out?
the gap around the front pillar was different to the other side.
i must admit i have no idea what im looking engine wise.
;)
ill see if i can get someone to have a look at it.
anyone know some one selling one ?

sounds like that one has had a bad acco repair, i had a member from here come and look at mine before i bought it and i was very apreciative of that its good to take someone who knows what there looking at

Well the hunt for a disco isnt really going any where at the moment.
thanks for the advice, not knowing anyone here I really couldnt impose such a request.
I did have a look at a rover with an isuzu motor.. body not so good but mechanicals are. and its a bit more than i can afford.
carsales - there only 2 auto's for sale in Sydney and a manual in armidale.
ive sorta got my heart set on a disco though.
fingers crossed something might come up.
