Where to go in Sydney to get a clutch kit installed

    Hi everyone,

I have been experiencing a very heavy clutch pedal on my 1996 Disco v8i for a few years now and have decided to bite the bullet and get a new clutch kit installed in it (not bad I suppose after 125,000kms) - anyway, wondering if anyone has had this job done recently in Sydney and could recommend where to go to have it done + approx. cost.

    Thanks,

    Wozzadob

    ATV in Strathfield
Range Parts in Wentworthville (he loves anything to do with gearboxes).

Or you're local Land Rover agent. They're great people to deal with .

It would help if you said where you live - then we can point to a local mechanic.

Mine was done at a cost of $1500 at a Vic landy mob.
They did not machine fly-wheel, big mistake, now on take off it shudders and have to get new clutch plate and machine flywheel.

So make sure they do that and cost be around 1-1.5k.

    Good luck

i used a guy at seven hills recently to do my clutch, gearobx and transfer.
very good and had it all done in 3 days including taking it out of the car and putting it back in.
the company is called AWARD DIFF AND GEARBOX. can't put my fingers on numbers at the moment.
had a few mates use them and they have all been pretty impressed aswel

Oh, and get them to check rear main seal, good time to change if leaking.
Best left alone if not however.

    I'm located at Croydon

Thanks fellas for your tips - I'm from Croydon in Sydney's Inner West. So far have had a quote for $1850 from a LR dealership ... thought this was a bit on the high side but maybe I'm out of touch with the prices of things ?

    Cheers,

Defiantly try Range Parts in Wentworthville.

Award Diff & Gearbox did my gear and transfer overhaul. They were pretty good. But i would get a price from both these guys.

    Range Parts Peter 02 9896 2355

I am now using Range Parts for all parts supply and mechanical work. Top work & friendly service.
