Wink Oil in the top inter cooler hose

    Guys.

Just removed the the top intercooler hose to find a fair deposit of oil sitting on the lip of the cast outlet and hose. A bit late in the weekend to be doing anything but I would appreciate at suggestions on what I might be getting myself in for

    Many thanks

    Oil residue is quite normal.

Some here say everything should be cleaned out (hoses/pipes & intercooler) from time to time to keep everything tip top.

    OIL in Intercooler hoses

On my D2 TD5 I fitted an oil catcher can between the rocker cover vent hose and the air intake hose to the Turbo. It is a home made device and certainly does catch oil that would usualy seep down into the Intercooler an on into the intake manifold. One day perhaps i will go the whole hog and fit a PRO-VENT or similar . Cheers George
