You have to be VERY strict with yourself about weight.

Shedding the weight will also help make the car more reliable as it won't be constantly stressed...

I know it's a bitter pill to swallow but the GVM is there for a reason!

no way , how am i going to keep the rest of the world from freezing in winter if i dont maintain my fuel usage of 23 L /100 pushing around an extra 600 kg of steel for short trips to the local grocrey store, the misses and kids would not like the idea of nothing to sit on, the roof rack pays for it self, even with the extra fuel usage, we used it today to transport a bed set, saved 80 bucks in delivery. i say go big or go home.
