well im planning on giving the 300tdi a majior overhaul in a few weeks..why

today i was on the freeway with a siezed power steering pump, a burnt belt and going no where until the towie got there,

a few weeks ago i had to replace the manifold
before that had the gearbox rebuilt which still aint fixed
    before that replaced the altantor
    this is in 6months

so in a few weeks its going to the mechanics for

    timimg kit
    valve clearances
    swivel hub kit
    trans cooler hoses
    1500 oil leaks
    low coolant alarm
    turbo hoses
    radiator hoses

what else should i get done general services i do my self everything else i have done but ive had it working on it someone else can do it for a change

have your timing belt checked/changed if the time is near and the bearing in the timing case check also....

I also had my big end bearings checked while I had this done on mine...

and had my swivel preloads checked and adjusted
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

when you're planning repair work on a landrover theres a couple of bolts that hold the roof racks on, start up near them and work your way down to the contact patches on the wheels.

any componant that has bearings in it should be at least sounded withe a stethescope and have its seals inspected then adjusted as need be

anything with a grease nipple on it should be overhauled

the cooling system should be flushed properly
