its a thought but never been keen on putting relocation cones in, the only reason I fitted them on the back was to reseat the spring coz it falls out...didn't really fit them for max articualtion.....oh I also fitted them as they were cheaper then fitting a retention kit believe it or not..

only problem with relocation cones is noise they go with a bang.....in saying that though i still have my roll bar fitted so probably wouldn't come in to play anyway...I guess its a thought. just want the cheapest option really

I was just having a look at those spaces online as well. There was a 50mm spacer available and I thought those would be a cheap way of achieving extra height. Considering springs in NZ would easily cost 3 times the $200 price of the spacers these appear good value. So it seems aftermarket springs give a nicer ride than factory, are they really worth the extra over these spacers?

    cheers Greg

When you say that the Patrol spacers are the same, the same as a Disco or Defender rear? I think the front springs in a Defender are the same size as a Disco

I want to fit 30mm spacers in the front til I go on my trip. With the new springs the rear end sits a fair bit higher (heavy duty springs). And I think theres a possibility the front springs may have sagged already

I will have to ask phil tomorrow but I think the patrol springs are the same diameter as the disco/defender/classic rangie springs....

Don't go out buying any though let me check I got my facts straight first

    Thanks DB

Its just on a 110 and 130 the front and rear springs are a different diameter

I'd guess that Patrol spacers would be the same for a Defender front

Are you sure its Patrol. I'm pretty sure Landcruiser front spacers are what suit the normal Rover springs (ie not Defender 110/130 rear springs).
    Cheers

yep like I think I said it was for the front of my car not that back ie what I wrote in regards to the models....unless of course you put the 90 springs in there they are the same front and rear unlike the 110/130

i had trouble getting the right combination of height v's flexibility in springs for my 90 in mggr. i got 4 inch lift springs but they were too hard on the rear so ended up with rangie/disco 2" lift on the rear and welding a piece of 50mm box section under the spring plate and the bolting onto diff (effectively making a 2" spacer) worked a treat.
