I took the regular foamy pipe insulation you see on the outdoor aircon pipe and I insulated the aircon pipes in the engine bay (on my tdi300).
They were sweating a lot, meaning giving the low temp to the atmosphere.
This simple improvement gave me 2-3Deg tem drop on the outlet in the cabin. I now run the fan on 1 and if its it really sunny on 2. Mind you I live in Jakarta, its 32-35Deg here every day in the sun.
This is what my a/c guy thinks it is, TX that is he says there is no in-line filter, he couldn't find an aftermarket one so is ringing Landrover tomorrow to check on a couple of things.
1/ - is it an engine bay replacement, or
2/ - is it a behind the dash thing?
3/ - were to get one?
