Thread: Bump stops

gday all i have a 3.5 lift on my 97 disco and experience the shocks being bottomed out and am wondering if anyone has put bigger bump stops in and if they fit from another car?? cheers

Bigger bumpstops are usually mandatory with longer shocks. AFAIK people usually put a spacer under the bumpstop. I Think LRA sell the spacers as part of their kit so if you want to buy them talk to LRA. Otherwise get some 22MM or whatever thick wall square tube and drill some holes. When you measure what extra distance you need please consider that the bumpstop can almost completely compress when you hit a big bump. Regards Philip A
