    small vacum hose

    iv got the 1995 v8i 3.9L

    on the dizzy theres the advanced timing thingy and on both side is small vacum hose outlets,
    now one of these hose gose tot he air cleaner, but where dose the other line go 2??

    any ideas?

    on my 94 disco V8i,
    the line off the vac advance goe's to the top of the plentium chamber,

    The two or three sided vac ports on the advance is a leftover from the non-ecu v8's - ie at a particular stage a vac port would pull the vac advance backwards to reduce emissions.

    For efi v8's, the rear outlet is left open ( and the front port goes to the butterfly vac port as Mr Luke said )

    ah ok
    i have one pipe going to/ around into the butterfly vac port
    and the other is just left open?

    Yes, the vacum advance from the front into the butterfly vac port.
    The back 1 on mine is just blanked off
