    D1 Front Locking problem query.

No action of lift knob on Pass side when remote activated/De Ac. but when manually lifted or depressed is ok.

Does this sound like the Lock spring problem or linkage please?

Guess I'll find out when the door card is removed.

    Thank you

Yes this sounds like a lazzy door spring, it seams to be a common problem that landrover pays off as a replacement for the total mechanism. I found a site in England that will supply replacement springs for a reasonable price.

If you look on ebay you should hook up with them, if you don't send me a post and I'll hut down the supplier.

    Cheers Gazz

Thanks both. I have replaced this spring in this door apx 1 year ago, the rear door 3 years ago( much easier) but I don't recall this particular action.

My passenger side was playing up a while ago . I took the card off and sprayed some lube on all the moving parts . Haven't had a problem since . But i could see mine was trying to unlock before i done this .

Hope so . Nothing worse than something you use all the time starts playing up .

Eureka! All fixed. Problem was, the short hooked rod that hooks to the solenoid had slipped off the solenoid.

Reset the hook end a bit & a touch of white grease & all seems ok. I don't know why it came out, as everything seemed tight.

Clever olde me didn't even break one plastic door card pin as I had the foresight to give each a smear of grease last time it was off. It paid off it seems.
