correct they are not , my cars on gas and when it comes rego time i belive it will pose a problem as they are usualy a bit harder on gas cars

There's an indicator trip ring behind the steering wheel. That could well be broken.
I don't think cancelling indicators are a legal requirement anyway. As long as there's a warning light showing you that they're on, you should be OK.
