Thread: SRS light on and flickering

The SRS light on my 1995 Disco 1 V8i is staying on and flickering any ideas

It means the airbag system has a fault in it.

The fault should be logged on the computer and can be diagnosed by hooking it to the Testbook diagnostic equipment.

If you want the airbags to work properly I would suggest taking it to a Landy specialist to have them checked out.

Faults could be anywhere in the system, from the crash sensors, rotary coupler in the steering wheel, the airbag controlling computer, or the airbags themselves.

LR recommend a 10 year change over of the bags to keep them in optimum condition anyway, but I haven't heard of anyone actually doing this.

You might want to take a quick look at the fuses to check they are ok, and maybe the wires at the crash sensors yourself, but beyond that i would let an expert look at it.
