NGK BPR6ES, i replace 5 months ago these these type were in in when i bought the car

    leads
    NGK 8mm silicon petrol/gas, i replace 5 months ago

    rotor
black/ or very dark brown with lucas stamped on top

    coil
red with Gt40 bosch< it came with the car

as for the advance timming thingy the black pipe is on the out side facing away from dizzy, i sux on it i see nothing happening when car is started i can sux or blow nothing happens<<<<< could this be the problem? and cause it to run crap on petty
    http://i460.photobucket.com/albums/q...5/IMG_2751.jpg

when car is running on gas it
runs quiet well perfomance wise and as it should under load runs a dream
when on feul well it fart pops and carrys on some of the time
i find when the foot is flat to the floot on petty it runs like it used to with power etc

i did disconnect the MAF and found the car ran like a dog 30,000 time worset so i believe the maf to be working proper

i have not tough gass feed nore have i touched the timming
Thanking you for the photos .... It clears up so many questions
All your parts "look's the goods" ... I could make some comments on some of the choices, But will leave that for another time

Mathew ... So what you are saying is ...
ON GAS ... the car drives like a dream and has plenty of power
    ..... BUT....
ON PETROL .... it runs like a Dog

Right .... Now onto this business about the Vacuum advance ....
Your saying that "Nothing happens when you suck on the Vacuum advance hose"

The below will help you get the idea of what is suppose to happen, when the vacuum unit works properly .....

Now take the Dizzy cap off
In this picture you can see the "METAL base plate" under the black cover (under the rotor)

(Under the rotor ... is a 8 sided star cog on the shaft ... then under the cog is THE metal base plate)
DO NOT DISMANTLE the dizzy ... you should be able to "just" see a "bit of" the plate looking through that gap ... as per the photo

.... Suck on the vacuum hose and watch the Dizzy base plate move .... YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IT MOVE

You should feel the vacuum on your tongue and it should hold vacuum .... if you release it Quickly and allow air in, you should hear a clunk, as the metal dizzy plate is sprung back into position

If all you can do is suck & suck ... and all you get is air ..... then it is CUPUT

So, in short ... something is happening... and it is either

1: Just sucks air (Cuput vacuum advance unit)
2: Vacuum advance moves that metal plate, as you suck out the air (Works great)
3: I sucked out the air, till I could not get no more, but the plate doesn't move at all (Jambed)

Now for your spark plugs ....
Your using .... NGK BPR6ES ..... Which I believe is suited for Gas and is correct

.... But like most items .... If you have given them a Flooding of petrol, then these plugs can foul up & break down .... "Replace them" is the only fix for that

Now for your TPS ... which is a black button screwed to the "front side" of the butterfly, and has a cable of wires going to a plug ... the wires are coloured / Red / Green & black ..... If your car Idles fine .... gas or petrol ... then theres a good chance that all is well .... However, A faulty TPS will give you "ECU farts" .... You have to test it with a Multi meter to find this out ... More on that later

Now for the big ticket Item ..... If you could clarify ....

You ran the car out of Petrol .... Drove it for a while .... Then Immediately after you filled it up with petrol, it started Farting all the Time, ... and it really only "Farts about" on Petrol ever since

    Is this Correct???

    coil

That is a coil for points ignition.
While it will not hurt the amplifier, it will not give half the spark of a correct electronic coil.
While it is probably not the cause of your recent problems it would certainly not help.

    at the moment yes

.... Suck on the vacuum hose and watch the Dizzy base plate move .... YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IT MOVE

when car is off i pulled cap off i took the pipe and sux and sux and sux and did not see anything move
when car was started i sux and sux and sux and nothing happens no clunks or clicks

Now for your spark plugs ....

these i can change no worries

Now for your TPS ... which is a black button screwed to the "front side" of the butterfly, and has a cable of wires going to a plug ... the wires are coloured / Red / Green & black ..... let me know whats to test????

no, i have never run out of feul due to the ecletrical pump these have only ever ra low

last time i ran low was 1- 1 1/2 months ago whne i found the nearest feul station i filled up

after this ran like a dream still no worries, this problem started last friday
at the time i had just over 1/4 of a tank of feul and 1/2 of gas

    Now we are getting closer

If all you can do is suck & suck on that hose ... Your telling me that you are just constantly getting air ....

What should be happening is that you suck on the hose and it gets harder, till you can suck no more air

So if your sucking the air on that hose constantly, for say 10 seconds or even say 60 seconds, and all you get is AIR, AIR & more AIR (To the point where you have filled your lungs up).... and don't get any hard vacuum ....

..... Then your vacuum advance unit is Stuffed / Cuput / Knackered

It will cost about $120+ to buy that vacuum unit ......

If you want to see how the Vacuum advance unit works ....
Then grab a Timing light ... Hook it up to *1 spark lead .... Start your motor .... Shine the timing light at the timing marks on the Harmonic balancer .... Suck on the vacuum hose & watch your timing advance ....
/// If it don't advance then you know something's wrong...

Your thoughts on this "Air" business???

    my brother can help tho

i'll ring rover craft but also give ritter a go

i need it fixed by saturday as im driving to sydney early sunday morning

in saying this tho would just be simple to mark the rotor with edge of dizzy and the body mark to the motor before pulling out?

then undo the 2 screws holding the advance vac in and replace with new one then reinstall?.
