    Stock CV appearance

On removing a broken drivers side CV, i found it to have teeth around the outer.

This seemed strange, as the one i had removed from my parts car didn't have these, and i was wondering which is a stock CV, with or without teeth?

    thanks, all input appreciated.

    The teeth are ABS rings.

    okay then, thanks slunnie, rangieman.

Neither disco has abs, so it must of been replaced at some stage with one.

    cheers.

Well if neither have abs it wont matter what you use then as long as the axle spline match,s up

Wouldn't engage on the diff end if not the same, 24 spline.

I actually thought they were there to pick up and throw oil/grease.

I think Rangieman means its doesn't matter if you use an ABS or a nonABS CV.

Just a thought, what upgraded axles fit into ARB centres, and then which of these axles fit what upgraded/aftermarket CV's?

Air lockers come in 10 and 24 spline, so you can run whatever you want.
