Thread: I will not start

Is the starter clicking?,when you say power to everything do you have more than 12volts?.Sounds like the battery is dead or the earth from the battery. Pat

No clicking at all plus have a second battery in it and starter battery has 13.2 volts all lights horn remote locking radio all work

Don't take this the wrong way but is it an auto not in park/neutral?

Simple test I use for batt test is headlights on, turn key...
Lights dull to next to no light...Batt U/S
Lights dull a little but stay constant(often with starter "clunk")..Starter soliniod.
Lights don't change...In the wiring somewhere(Try the Auto switch,relay,ign ect).

Hello yes it is a auto i have tried it in park and neutral and nothing at all i can start it if i cross power and starter wire it fires up straight away no problems turns off but will not start up again with the key but cross over and away it goes.

Are you getting all your pretty dash lights?
Might be in the ignition lock if not.
Could be a starter relay if you are.

Turn the key and the lights dont change, all dash lights are there fuel pumps runs, is this the start of DICSO HELL i hear about. Well it looks like a bit off wire from starter to reach the battery to start the car to get it home only 165 klm away half a tank and caravan might make it without a stop.

Where would the starter relay be.

Do a search on "Spider"
Its mentiond fairly often in D1 refuses to start stories.To do with the auto selector and factory imobiliser.
