Discovery Series 1 Cargo Barrier options?

    Hi All,
I'm in the market at the moment for a cargo barrier for my Discovery Series 1. As I've been browsing around various sites and papers, there's heaps of other cargo barriers around in significant numbers compared to the Disco 1's.
Does anyone know if there are any other models that will fit the Disco? Say a Landcruiser/Patrol model or similar, maybe with some mod's to the brackets?

As far as I know the only one for you is that specified for a D1. They come up on fleabay, or in my case I picked up a good 2nd hand unit from TRS in Adelaide.

The D2 also won't fit by the way.

    As did I.
I'm not sure whether barriers can be "doctored" or not, as they & the bracketing comply with an Australian Standard.

Ive used one from a commodore wagon which I've fitted directly to my rear draw system. It may not be much in a roll over, but it keeps the gear in the back. If the vehicle stops with enough force to do signifant damage to the barrier, endangering the rear occupants, then I think there'd be a lot more issues arising from from the head on collision I must have had

    Milford

This is a response I got from dm_TD5 when I asked about cargo barriers a few weeks ago:

"The Milford barriers have a dual fit position. Normal is seats up. Forward is seats down, extended straps up the top and a second pair of holes in the floor. Takes all of two minutes to move the barrier forward or backward."

I think they go for a few hundred, but I found one on eBay for just a couple.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for your responses - I'll keep hunting for a second hander on eBay or in the papers. Cheers
