Which Defender rims?
5.5" steel
6.5" steel
7" alloy
Either way, the offset is much the same (identical for the alloys) & will still rub.
265s are a touch wide for the steels anyway.
Hi all. I am putting 265x75x16 Maxxis tyres on my 98 Disco(has 2" suspension lift).
I know the standard rims hit the radius arm when I turn. I believe the defender rims are offset more. Is this correct and is it enough to stop the tyres rubbing.
Thanks

Agree with Scouse.
The offset for the 7inch rims is the same at 33, and you will need 7inch for the 265's.
You will have to get another different offset rim to stop the radius arm rubbing, but then you may have more problems with the tyres hitting the guards.
Your other option is to wind the steering stops out to prevent the rubbing and lose a bit of your turning circle.
Thanks for that guys. I will wind out the steering stops for now and look at other rims later on. Others have mentioned the procomp rims.

The 265's fill the picture way better than the 235's did. Am going to test them out tommorrow. Going to try the Gentle Annie track out. Never been in the Bunyip state forst before, so a look around is probably overdue...
