Leaky injectors...

VERY difficult sometimes. If they don't come out easily they will be stuck fast, some even DON'T come out without head removal:mad: Even then it may have to go to a machinist for removal - forcibly:twisted:

Are you sure that isn't rusty water running out of one in those pics? It isn't unheard of for them to become corroded solid into the head if the head cracks adjacent to the injector and/ or glow plug.

Keep at it but be careful NOT to rotate the injector anticlockwise, it may well begin to unscrew the two halves then...:(

Penetrating oil and a rest overnight may help.

Looks like it's a head off job. Two of the injectors are stuck and cant be removed. Better to catch it now then later, and having the whole car go up in smoke.

When I replaced mine, I ended up with two stuck one's as well. I got them off by re-attaching the fuel rail nuts - tightening up the nuts , and putting a large pair of fencing pliers around the injector and under the fuel rail nut, with the end of the pliers on the head - then I levered them out a little bit - once they moved 5-6mm _ I took off the fuel rails and they came out easy.

This worked for me, I was not worried about damaging the injectors as I was replacing them - but they both came out fine and with no damage. Sure is a lot easier than taking the head off

I can even blow them out with compression.. They are in there. Pulling the head off today

Sorry to hear Klappers:( Were they the two with the rust like staining coming out of the injector bore?

I would get the head thoroughly checked if that is the case, as there isn't supposed to be coolant/water there at all:(

Almost All the ones I have had trouble with were due to corrosion caused by a coolant leak. Head was cracked through from the coolant passageway.

Seems to be mostly carbon build up in the bottom of the injector passage. But they are stuck well and truely. More will be revealed when I take the head of I guess... The thing is that I have not lost coolant at all...

These are the two injectors that I cant get out. The two middle ones of course!! Also the hardest to get too. The injector at the back of the head was a breeze compared to these two.

Is this repairable?

Did you try using a top nut off an injector line with a bolt through the hole screwed into a slide hammer. Usualy works. ........
