Ok so time for a little bit of an update... Parts are ordered. Should be here by the middle of next week. Ordered a bare head valves full top gasket set, head gasket, new injectors and new thermostat
Sort of "on topic" because cracked return lines were mentioned earlier - and while I remember. I had a return line making a real mess (on a Sunday afternoon at about 5pm - naturally!) Stuffed around the shed and pulled a fuel hose off the whipper snipper. Perfect fit.
It got me thinking and after visiting the local mower repair joint the next mornimg I have lovely green silicone? fuel return lines. Nice and tight push fit.
Cost me $6 for the 350mm length and seem to be still ok after a year. Just in case it helps someone.....Attachment 23865

What forums have you come from that you need to be an expert to be a moderator?
I moderate posts........which is bound by the conditions of access, you will note if you read the conditions of access it doesn't say I have to moderate people for not knowning specific parts of an engine:)

Parts have landed in Perth :) Not long now
