    v8 oil filter

    hi all just a quick question does a z9 oil filter screw straight on to my 3.9 v8.As i have some in the shed and was going to do some short oil changes.Thank in advance

    I have been using Z9s on the 3.5 litre V8 on the 101 for years without a problem.

    Z9 fits, just watch for end clearance. Z418 (Toyota compact filter) and Z89A (Volvo, Rover) are the other numbers I can swap around, they all run the same 3/4 UNF thread and sealing ring diameter.

    A Z9 will fit, but if you have the serpentine belt V8 use the Z89A which is shorter. There is a reason they are spec as a Z9 with it's extra length can be ripped off by articultion.
