The XPC were a very good tyre. I found a tyre that reminded me of them tread wise, but I didnt buy them for that reason (I bought them on the very good recommendations of owners, sellers, and specs - LT etc). The Maxxis Bravo 751 AT.

They remind me a lot of the XPC and have the right speed rating and higher load rating. Very quiet I find and handle very well. I have 245/80/16's so I went 1cm wider and a profile size taller.

    Cheers

We have had the LAttitude Cross in 245/70/16 for a while now, they had to be ordered in but I am pleased we bought them.
On Road, extremely quiet and grip is fantastic.
Off Road...no idea yet...been working too bloody hard to get away !!!!

    10 years ago i lived in NZ i had a P38 for 2 years.
Original tires (XPC`s) were still on the rangie i looked around and found them to be very expensive to replace $400NZ + if i remember correctly.
Anyhow i go into a LR specialist/wrecker and ask for their recommendation on tyre replacements.
Fella there says to me go for a walk around the yard and come back and tell me what you see (pay attention to the tyres) 10-15 minutes later we talk again 10 or so rangies (mostly classics)all crashed in the rear end, he says they all left the road backwards, looking at the damage they sure did. They all had Kumho/Wrangler type cheap tyres fitted.
His advice if you can afford Michelins (XPC) get them.
In over 200,000k of driving on and off rd i have not had a bad experience with these tyres they are very hard to get now days and the
(XPC replacement) Synchromes dont seem to have a very good name.

As a foot note to this i was also told that for the entire time Rangies had been in NZ only 1 fatality had been recorded in a Rang Rover in NZ!

I have the Lat Cross on the wifes car and while being an excellent tyre after about 5000k's they have become noisier, which seems to be pressure related. A few psi either way and the road nose both on streets and highway increases dramatically.
