    Nah, too slow it seems.

That belt size was for a TD5.

Do i need to replace the anti roll bars if I disconnect the ACE system?
If ACE faults and also under other conditions ACE is not operating anyway.

    Thanks

The hydraulic rams will have no way of staying at full extension if you disconnect the hydraulics, and those bars are much stiffer than the non-ACE version anyway, so if you can lock the rams at full stroke the car will be pretty skittish on loose surfaces with those heavy bars with reduced articulation.

Thanks for the advice. The car is simply an about town hack now so no need for any other than load carrying.
If I replace the bars will I need a hoist or can it be done in a driveway?

Sorry guys but I have to disagree from personal experience, I had one from new and the ACE system just kept damaging itself in different ways. I had 5 major repairs performed during the warranty period due to ACE failure which was a shame because I loved the car and its handling. I would love to buy a used S2 Disco but the ACE problems I had has put me off any with that option.

Hopefully mine was an isolated case.

I'd think it could be done in the driveway, or at least I hope so as i'm going the other way, replacing the standard setup with a modified (passive) ACE system.
Yeah I know, a passive/active system is an oxymoron Remove/disconnect ACE?

Rear pipes weren’t difficult but the front looks like a tougher job. Replacement front pipes are in 2 pieces as the originals go in during the build.
I’ve found a picture of repair of rears on d2bc hoping to get the pipes out and down to Enzed or Pirtek in the morning.
