    Alluminium Expansion Tank

I was looking around the internet to see if it was possible to get an expansion tank in aluminium for a D2, similar to the ones you can get for a D1. No luck. I made a few phone calls and was told they don't make them.

My tank had split in the usual place, and I replaced it with a new plastic one. I've now given the split tank to a mate at Milperra who is a welding guru, and he is going to make me up an aluminium tank using the old plastic tank as a guide.

Will post up some pictures as he makes it and when it's installed.

Are you fitting a sight gauge into it to be able to do a visual water level check?

I'm having a little bit to do with these being made. Sight tube will be added into the equation.

Once Mick's is done and tested there's a good chance a group buy option will happen

You must have an early RRC if the tank isn't plastic.
