    Electrical Gremlin

    Hey all

Apologies if this thread has been posted previously...
I am having some electrical issues with my D2. When it rains my alarm would go off(not when car is running) and then throw off some of the electrics in the car such as the windows won't work, the intermittent and rear wiper wont operate and the transmission lights on the transmission gear panel wont alter to reflect the gear change, I am then not able to lock the car with my key fob so I have to do it manually, though, it unlocks fine, strangely enough. The car seems to find a way to re-set itself after driving it for a while until the next time it rains again.
To prevent the alarm going off during rainy weather I have disconnected both internal sensors as well as the sensor under the bonnet in the engine bay and this has at least solved the alarm issue when raining but I still have the issue with the other electricals during wet weather, and we have had a bit of that in Melbourne over this weekend.
Has anyone else had similar issues with their D2?
Any help would be much appreciated...

    regards

No sunroof LA...I have been told that it may be the BCU thats getting wet from a possible leak in the lower part of the windscreen....must check it out at first light tomorrow.

    Non genuine windscreen I bet!!!!!
They are slightly different shape, and if the installer isnt aware of this and doesnt apply copius amounts of Sikaflex the windscreen leaks.
Been there done that.Mine was so bad it had wind noise from both top corners.Luckily it was summer and had it rectified before rain got to come in!!!!
