Hi Tim, looks nice, have been looking at them over here but TD5. hard to get a HSE TD5. from my research as long as the history is good should be right, bit heavy on fuel though the v8s. lovely motor though. must admit its hard to go past an early l322 td6 here for the price. hope you get the one you want.

Thanks and cheers for opinion. Do these come standard with ACE, and CDL do you know of. There is a few Diesel versions here but with much higher k's
Im going for the V8, but want to dump existing fuel tank and get oversize.
I need to know are there any issues i need to look out for if purchasing this unit??

Being a 7 seater HSE, will definitely have the ACE as standard - and the '03 model definitely has CDL.
    Cheers .........

Hi there Rogan , 2001 SEII had an inspection last week, and had a few issues, the private seller wasnt to keen on fixing problems or reducing prices, so i have moved on. In doing so i have found this little guy, new to NZ, UK assembled via Japan, for the the same Price. Is full HSE 2003 Series II V8 Auto. IS going in few inspection in the week.
As for Gore, yeah wouldn't mind, although im away till the 1st of May with work. Then i have a month. Maybe later in the year, I have September and Jan off as well, this gives me time to get dollars together for accessories.
    Cheers
    Tim

    2003 HSE Disco Virgin....Opinons Please.

Hi Tim. Same as mine except TD5. Super vehicle. Will have all the gear you want. Traction Control, CDL etc. Price is at upper limit of what (I think) you should pay. But, nonetheless, good value. Great low km's on the clock. Petrol vs diesel ( in my opinion) works out even over the life of the vehicle. (But then, what do I know !!!! ) Poor fuel economy but great power and cheaper to service, and lower purchase price (generally) than diesel. Less distance between fuel stops, but when diesels need repairs they are often expensive. I suppose I went diesel for longer gaps between refueling. Had both so have seen both sides. Enjoy the vehicle and don't worry too much about the economy. ( Easy for me to say, it's your money !!) I would recommend some mid-priced seat covers from sprcheep auto outlets, leather ( for me ) is easy damaged by dogs, camping gear etc and not all that comfortable on hot days. I swapped the 18 inch rims for 16 for cheaper rubber replacement and better (subjective) ability off-road. I think they (D2's) are a classy vehicle and fulfil lots of needs you may want it to accomplish. Happy motoring
