    CDL & 2 Amigos (TC & ABS)

    Strolled out to the car this morning and on start up on came the CDL, TC ABS lights...

    Now the low range lever (Ashcroft linkage) has not been touched since the WALURO Moore River run, so I know the CDL is not engaged. So stopped engaged "locked low" then unlocked, shifted back to "high un-locked", restarted and lights go out...continue trip to work.

    Finish work, start up and there they are again. Bit hard to stop and mess about on the freeway so carried on...then after a while CDL light goes off but 2 Amigos stay on. A pit stop along the way and nothing appears after the restart...

    Now when I first got the car (with no CDL linkage), I had a problem where the CDL light wire slipped and was rubbing on the propshaft causing it to earth and flicker on/off, so this may have occurred again but why the 2 Amigos?

    Any sage advice on this one?

    "if" there is a short and the SLABS ECU see's an input from the CDL switch ats start up, then it will throw the other lights as it will disable the TC etc. This is offcourse if you have not "cut the cdl feed" to the SLABS when you installed the lever

    Thanks for that, no didn't cut the feed on installation. I hadn't planned to, though I recall the thread on it ...
    However, if I'm going to get this "fault" occurring, I might have to go down that path.
    I guess the first job for the Easter weekend's going to be checking the wiring & connectors ...just when I thought I'd have time to do a bit on the Tdi, lol!!
