hmm, just had a thought. the above begs the question. how thorough was the roadworthy certificate when i bought it from the car yard. they supplied rwc and rego. but can't have used the compliance plate as it was blackened over.

I once was a used car dealer. The above is done quite simply by 'phoning the RWC inspector with the numbers and when one of the staff goes there to pick up the certificate, he pays the fee and hands over a carton. The vehicle never leaves the yard.
