Got My Disco but need lots done.

    Hi All
Well got the Disco Yesterday. Body is in better then expected condition, interior is pretty average. I have leather seats on the way that I get on Tuesday, that will help. But here is the list of things to fix. As you would expect for 325,000km.

Power steering Pump is noisy and Leaking. Can I rebuild it or do I get a second hand one or new one?

Turbo is leaking in the middle. I might do the seals and bushes. Any advice there?

I have the EGR bypass and an engine saver on the way. Also have the new SLS Airbags and pump along with front springs. about to order Dobinsons Shocks and I need to find a steering Damper. Looking at sprung Tough Dog, Foam Cell Iron Man or Bilstein again any Ideas on what way to go with this?

Also getting some 18s with hwy rubber, once I where these out I'll fit some Micky Thompsons.

Once I get the Turbo up to snuff, I'll get the ECU redone.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

    Cheers

    Matt

    G'day Matt
Ive got a tough dog steering dampener if you want it, It comes with a brand new spring as the original one broke, To tell you the truth I did not find it that great, but in saying that it might not suit the 35" tyre's that I run.
I'll send it down if you want

I also forgot the brakes, the pedal is squidgy put comes up hard on a pump. any ideas there? It needs new rotors on the back. So I'm going to fit ne rotors and pads on the back but hoping to hold off on the front for a while given the other jobs on the list.

    Cheers

    Hi
Well it locked up tonight in the rain so keen to get this sorted. also had a shudder under gentle braking. Should ABS overcome a wonky disk?

    any help or ideas apreciated.

    Cheers

mine is like that, even after new front and rear discs and pads and a power flush using nanocom abs bleed. dont know the answer to it yet.

Is the brake vacuum pump leaking oil? There are various threads to read if that's the problem.

Just my observation, but I have the opinion ABS makes a warped disk feel WORSE on a 1997 E230 Merecedes. (I suppose we can debate why, but if I switch off ABS, it feels better?)
